her balance is really coming along...
I mean look at that "Asian" style squatting
We took a stroll through Crissy Field to view the Maltese Falcon Yacht
The Maltese Falcon Yacht sailed swiftly passed the Golden Gate Bridge
Once we're on the move, she seems so cheerful
but then we introduced her to the sensation of thick grass between her toes, though it doesn't look like she prefers that....hmmph
So, we failed miserably with our first round of Dr. Ferber's sleep method at bed time a few weeks ago. She was wailing for 2 sessions at 45 & 50 minutes a piece and still going strong by the 5th night, she was drenched in sweat and looked sooo pathetic there was no way we were going to try a 3rd session. Ava has what we'd consider a "persistent" personality & the fact that she can stand now doesn't help the situation.
We thought we would ease back in to it; take baby steps & start with Ferber napping.
Which was okay, I played with her in the crib until I thought she was exhausted, but after I crawled out of the room, she played by herself for about 6 minutes before she continued to "cry it out" for about 20 minutes.
Then she finally collapsed & wedged herself right up against the rail & napped for over an hour
By the second nap, she was a pro.
Daddy left some green beans on/up her nose and face for later.....
and best of all; sad, pathetic face
Mommy and Daddy are so mean, but it turned out she wasn't reaching for the lotion, she was reaching out for us....DOH! But I just wanted to show that we don't just torture her for pictures...we comforted her afterwards...hahaha.
She's got a pretty good sense of humor.
My baby is motoring....and she's fast! And she knows how to go to the bathroom ALL BY HERSELF!
Okay Daddy thought Ava would think this was really cool, but you can see for yourself...
She's trying to figure out if she'd rather play with the camera lens cap or the walk 'n ride
She's trying to scoot the elephant out of the way (a special thanks to Great Uncle Chris & Aunt Phyllis for the stuffed animal) because she's a conscientious driver
Ava - "Oh wait, I am pushing, but for some weird reason I can't go anywhere"
Oh, that's right! Auntie Thien broke the back two wheels off last Easter at the Plastic Wheel Street Race. Oh well, who needs to learn to walk?
