Ava's biking by the beach!

She is completely determined to slide by herself

She gets nervous right before the push-off, but

she knows the pay off is worth it!
She is no longer my little baby....sniff...sniff....

It was a nice end to a beautiful weekend.....
(she stayed asleep even after we pulled off the helmet and got her upstairs.....truly a beautiful weekend!)

Snowball Fight!

First trip to Tahoe!

We went to Tahoe to visit Grandma Joyce and Mr. Marlow and, well, to see some snow. I was also secretly hoping to see Jon on some skis since it's been many, many years, but alas, we did not have time on this trip. The drive was breath taking. The weather was perfect. The snow was pristine. And we had a great time. We will definitely be back soon.

We took some short exploration hikes, had snowball fights, went sledding, witnessed the beginning of a snow storm, and even squeezed in a baby-free-gambling date night!!! Hahaha, only -we- would take our one night out and decide to go gamble.

Ava spent the evening hours with Grandma Joyce and Mr. Marlow; she didn't even know we were gone. We walked in the door and she was so busy playing with Grandma that she didn't even notice us watching her for a good 5 minutes or so. Needless to say, I think we either need to move home or find Grandmas to come play with Ava!

Weekly Playtime!

she does NOT want mommy's help

she loves this thing that allows her to rock like crazy, next time I will have to do video so you can see her cracking herself up....and jumping off by herself

she forgets every time that she no longer enjoys the swing, but she always runs to it....silly, silly girl

playing with her buddy

this is her other new favorite piece of playground equipment; I am not sure what it is, but she kept trying to straddle it and ride it like a horsie....which just meant she kept toppling over and hitting the rubber things

just relaxing after hours of play

Animals!

learning to nicely pet animals

She's not quite sure how to pet this one

but Daddy thinks it's good to start with the horns

and she seems to like that idea

now she's learning to drive a tractor

and to herd the sheep

but now the sheep look like they are getting ready to rebel

so we left

time to play with the duckies

Ava thinks she is a ducky

oh wait, she thinks she's a peacock

oh wait, no a lion

oh no I mean a car pusher

but it turns out driving the car is much more enjoyable

the best part is when she naps so heavily that pretty much nothing wakes her...not even Daddy
