Photo shoot with Jack!

Here they are back together; 5 months later...

They are getting along great...

Chatting, smiling, laughing....the usual...

But then Ava took it too far, it started with a hand on the shoulder,

then she got grabby

she took the first swing

Jack would not stand for this, he was up on all fours in no time

he had no choice, but to use his mouth

but we've raised Ava to be quite scrappy, she won't let just ANYONE slobber on her

but then Jack took the final blow, he found her weak spot, and started to pinch her belly

With a little help, Ava tried to sit on him, like I said before, we've taught her to win by any means necessary - heehee!

This is us packing up for Texas, she didn't want me to forget a snack for the plane.

She doesn't just want a bite, she wants the whole thing in her mouth....(just like her hands)

She knows how to work the camera (and her daddy)

Her first meal at the table with us! She's growing up so fast....it seems like just yesterday she turned 5 months.....(oh yeah, it was).

She finished the rest of her apples pretty quickly,

so she started on her rattles,

then her fingers.

We post way TOO much, soooo........

instead of letting her just sit & lounge around

we figured she should be helping us

not too shabby, huh?

It's bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

just a side note: when blending bananas, they end up looking like loogies, so we don't know that we'll try to do multiple feedings of this one in the future, not that she minded

With each meal, she seems to be getting less and less of it on her face and more of it in her belly, so we're happy, despite the BIG surprise she gave Daddy at the end of this meal (which Jon would NOT let me take pictures of....pffffffffffft!), this was a successful feeding!

Baby Habits

My little girl has slept in her bed 6 out of the past 7 nights! I'm doing my best to be disciplined enough to continue this and I think she's getting used it because she doesn't always cry right away anymore. She just rolls around and makes squealy noises.

I rewarded her with a nap in our bed

She's funny, lately, because even though she knows how to roll both ways, for some reason when she's on the bed she forgets that she can roll back....

...and she'll start squirming and grimacing

Then out of no where, she'll stop. My baby's crazy! I LOVE her!

Sweeeeeeeeet Potatoes!

Sweet potatoes, Yummy, huh?

She never trusts us at first....

but I must say this was way easier to feed her than the rice & carrots.

So, I think that means she likes it...
